After months under lockdown, travel lovers will deserve a great vacation once the pandemic is over. The best kind of trip is a relaxing and calming one, at a peaceful and serene location. For such a vacation, that should provide tranquility and a chance to unwind and de-stress, the best spot is a pristine and heavenly beach in the beautiful country of Tanzania.

 

  • Pemba Island

An amazing location is Pemba Island, a stunning but remote destination that provides breathtaking views and allows visitors to escape the crowds. The sandy beach is a great spot to relax, as visitors hear the sounds of the waves, smell the salty water and lush vegetation, view the vivid greenery and crystal clear, blue water, and enjoy the pleasant weather.

 

At Pemba, tourists eat fresh fruits such as mango and passionfruit, and fresh seafood including lobster, prawns, tuna, and octopus. Local organizations seek to conserve the biodiversity of the area so tourists must contribute to such causes by practising ecotourism and ensuring that they do not litter, pollute or adversely impact the area. Visitors can also enjoy the delicious cuisine, with foods made with unique blends of spices such as lemongrass, cumin, turmeric, cardamom, nutmeg, fennel, ginger, pepper, and garlic!

The view of the clear blue water, and surrounding hills makes the trip mesmerising and unforgettable. The region is home to creatures such as mongooses, otters, shrews, hippopotamus, waterbucks, and 200 species of fish. Located on the lake is Mwanza, where tourists can learn about local life by visiting the Mwaloni or Maasai market, explore nature at Saa Nane National Park or Robert Koch hill, or gain an insight into the history of the region at the Old German building. Rubondo Island National Park has the open air Sukuma museum where visitors can see spectacular examples of the local culture, and witness the Bulabo Dance festival in June!
