Askari Monument:

The Askari monument is a statue that depicts an Askari soldier in World War I uniform. The rifle of the soldier is pointed towards the harbour and the monument is a commemoration for the Askari troops who fought with the British in the war. The inscription on the monument has been written by Rudyard Kipling and you can read it in both Swahili and English.

National Museum:

The National Museum and House of Culture was a memorial that was built for King George V. You can learn about the past of Tanzania and the best part is you can find fossils of the earliest humans in the world. These fossils were found in Olduvai Gorge and are treasures that the world needs to take care. You can also learn about the tribes of the country as well as the slave trade that was in prevalence long ago.
