Must Visit Breathtaking Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara is National Reserve and is the heart and soul of Kenya. It is one of the East African region’s most beautiful and well-known national reserves. Many dream of visiting Masai Mara because of the Great Migration, an animal movement involving over two million wildebeests. In Kenya, you must visit the breathtaking Masai Mara National Reserve.

When to Visit

The Great Migration can be seen in full swing from July to October. It is a spectacular event to witness. However, keep in mind that this is the peak season. Many tourists will visit during these months, and the costs for everything would be relatively higher. If you do not want to experience the Great Migration, you can witness Masai Mara throughout the year for game-watching.

  • January to March is excellent if you want to watch lions in their natural habitat.
  • April to June, during spring, it will be rainy, which clears up the savannah for breathtaking and clear views. You can also see many baby animals being born, including antelopes and impalas
  • July to September – these are the months of the Great Migration, where the wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes start moving in towards the Masai Mara from the Serengeti
  • October to November – The best time for game-watching. It is known as the wildlife season, during which the animals of the Great Migration can be seen grazing the grass
  • December is a festive month and a spectacular time to witness Masai Mara, as the species are scattered across the savannah.
